Cast

Raj N. Sippy directed the film and Romu N. Sippy produced it. The cast is led by Ashish Vidyarthi as Ashok, Milind Gunaji as Ajay, Ravi Kishan as Ravi, Mamik Singh as Avinash and Rohit Roy as Anand, with Shalini Kapoor as Mansi, Kashmera Shah as Rekha, Pratibha Sinha as Poonam and Ashok Saraf as Peter.

Music

The songs are by Anand Raaj Anand. They include “Humko Hone De Sharabi”, sung by Abhijeet and Kumar Sanu, “Sanwali Haseena” and “Hum Tum Milke”, with Kavita Krishnamurthy alongside Kumar Sanu and Udit Narayan respectively, and “Gham Ko Dilse”, which brings in Vinod Rathod, Anand Raaj Anand and Preeti Sagar.

Two ways of telling the story

The studio’s description puts the friendship at the centre: four honest officers, one of them a traitor, and the mistrust that follows the Commissioner’s murder. Wikipedia’s summary is shorter and frames it as honest officers going after the drug lords Rana and Vicky. Not the Hum Kisise Kum Nahin you may be thinking of

The title is easy to confuse with Nasir Hussain’s Hum Kisise Kum Nahin from 1977, a musical with Rishi Kapoor that is a different film altogether. The 1997 Koi Kisise Kum Nahin is a police thriller, and the upload linked here is that one, at about two hours.
