A 2007 Hindi comedy caper

Fool & Final, stylized as Fool N Final, is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language comedy caper directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz A. Nadiadwala. Released on 1 January 2007, it is based on the 2000 British film Snatch. Most of the film was shot in Brazil, Dubai and Muscat.

The ensemble cast includes Sunny Deol, Shahid Kapoor, Vivek Oberoi, Sameera Reddy, Ayesha Takia, Sharmila Tagore, Jackie Shroff, Om Puri, Paresh Rawal, Johnny Lever, Chunkey Pandey, Arbaaz Khan and Gulshan Grover. Deol plays Munna, while Kapoor plays Raja, also known as Rahul. Oberoi appears as Lucky, Reddy as Payal, Takia as Tina Chobey, and Rawal as Chobey. Mike Tyson appears as himself in a special appearance and is also featured in the film's end credits and promos.

A diamond, a dog and Dubai

The action begins in Mumbai, where thief Rocky steals an extremely valuable diamond. Rocky is supposed to deliver it in Dubai to an accomplice of his London-based uncle Choksi. News that the diamond is on its way reaches Moscow Chikna, a local gangster. He pressures Chobey, a junk shop owner burdened by debt, into taking the stone for him.

Chobey brings in his niece Tina, a small-time criminal, and her boyfriend Raja, described as talented. Raja has a separate arrangement with Lajwanti, an elderly woman whose deceased nephew he is paid to impersonate so that she will be spared trauma. As the diamond changes hands, it also attracts J.D., a powerful don who runs illegal fight rings, and Gunmaster G9, a detective hired to recover it.

Chobey's group intercepts Rocky, amid mounting confusion around the theft. Moscow Chikna kills Rocky and takes the diamond, but Chobey's group steals it back during the commotion. Their apparent success is short-lived when Hajmola, Chobey's dog, accidentally swallows the diamond. The animal then becomes the most valuable creature in Dubai.

Elsewhere, Munna runs a garage and is unaware that his elder brother is involved in a car-stealing ring. Lucky, a gambler, needs to repay a debt to J.D. and seeks fighters for the don's illegal bouts. Munna becomes caught in J.D.'s conflict after the gangster's men burn his home in India Colony. Payal, Munna's girlfriend, is fleeing J.D.'s human trafficking operation. To protect his community and save Payal, Munna reluctantly agrees to fight for the gangster.

Songs, score and critical response

Himesh Reshammiya composed the music for the songs. Sameer wrote lyrics alongside Irshad Kamil, Shehzad Roy and Nitin Raikwar. Ranjit Barot provided the background score. The soundtrack has four original songs and three remixes.

Taran Adarsh rated the film 1.5 out of 5 and called it “all gloss, no substance.” Bollywood Hungama said Ahmed Khan “completely utilized the many actors,” praising Sunny Deol as Munna and Shahid Kapoor as a thief. Tanveer Bookwala of Rediff.com gave it one star, writing that Khan and the writers were trying to cater to every audience and put every genre into a “mish-mash.” Times of India called the first half “a complete washout,” while Manish Gajjar of BBC.com described the film as “full of gloss and no substance.”
