Bhola’s double life in Lucknow

Released worldwide on 18 January 2019, Fraud Saiyaan is a 2019 Indian Hindi-language romantic dark comedy drama. Sourabh Shrivastava directed the film, which was produced by Prakash Jha, Disha Jha and Kanishk Gangwal. Arshad Warsi, Saurabh Shukla and Sara Loren star, with Deepali Pansare, Flora Saini and Nivedita Tiwari in supporting roles.

Warsi plays Bhola Prasad Tripathi, a con man who marries rich women in order to live off them. He is happily married to Sunita when her uncle, Tauji, comes to Lucknow. Sunita arranges for Bhola to meet Tauji at the railway station, but Bhola is instead fleeing local goons and encounters Tauji on a train.

Tauji follows a marriage swindler

Bhola and Tauji initially fail to recognise one another. That changes after Sunita sends Bhola’s photographs to Tauji’s mobile phone. Tauji keeps his identity hidden while pursuing Bhola, learning about his scams and his relationships with women in different parts of the city.

Tauji is a detective hired by the police to catch Bhola, yet becomes his associate. Bhola then meets Payal, who is presented as a widow, and plans to con her. His scheme becomes complicated when he falls in love with her. Warsi’s character has 13 wives in the film.

Filming, music and critical response
